Rough Translations
a dance between language, form, and memory.
Before jewelry, there was architecture.
I was trained to think in space—to feel through proportion and weight, to shape through material and void, to notice what exists within and beyond the frame. To understand that the spaces in between hold stories of their own.
At its core, architecture is a vessel for experience. It shapes how we move through the world, where we’ve been, and where we’re going.
Jewelry, to me, is architecture at the human scale. Something intimate enough to live against the body, yet enduring enough to become an anchor—to a person, a place, a memory, a version of ourselves.
Rough Translations interprets the world through making—giving form to what is familiar and reaching for what is not.
Memory is never recalled the same way twice. Each time we return to it, we reconstruct it. Every piece follows the same logic—a return to an idea, interpreted again through material and hand. No two translations are ever quite the same.
What remains is a memory of your own.
